I’m a big guy, close to 350 lbs, and so I burn up boots quick.I’ve been wearing these full time for about 10 months, and they have held up better than my last 3 pairs of boots.Almost no break in period, they were comfortable from the get go, and the insoles are still holding up, but should be replaced soon.I will be reordering.
I have a water project outside my house. I wanted a boot with more protection. I ordered an 11 which is what I wear with my other Keens (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00RLZA7QE?psc=1). I reordered those too. I had been wearing the Keens Targa 2. I must say, they live up to hype. I wore them today. I did some shoveling and went to the grocery store. I'm happy with them. They fit well and are comfortable. There are a few hot spots, but they're a little stiff because of the extra protection and need to be broken in. They should be comfortable, but don't expect them to initially fit like other Keen shoes. Overall, a good purchase.
I am a project manager and am not in the field every day, so I didn't need a super heavy duty boot. I was looking for something that wasn't overly bulky and was made for real human feet, not super pointy toes like you'd expect in a women's office shoe. These were some of the only ones I could find, so I gave them a try. The fit is nice and they look great. As others have said, they aren't super durable and begin to wear quickly. The first place they seem to break down is the leather on the toe. It seems super thin and cuts/wears very easily. I rated these based on their intended use - light duty. I wouldn't recommend these for tradesmen or laborers.
My husband loves these boots. Surprisingly comfortable. Hoping they last for a year or two. Seems to be very well-made.
I love the look of these boots, but they are the worst boot. I have had them for a couple months and can't bare to wear them, they design causes horrible blisters on the back of my heels every time I wear them. Keen should compensate me for the shoes and the pain and suffering. I buy alot of Keen boots for work, but this style is horrible, it should be taken off the market or redesigned. It causes horrible heel blisters, cuts and bleeding. I do not recommend these boots at all.Jeremy Ketz
I purchased these boots back in November of 2021 and I could not have asked for a better return for my money. I have been very satisfied with how well these boots have held up over time. After almost two years of wear and countless miles in them, they are just now starting to show some wear and tear. When I first purchased the boots, I do recall taking a bit of time to break them in. However, once they were broken in, they proved to be one of the most comfortable pair of shoes I have owned. On top of the safety and waterproof features these boots have, the boots are lightweight and stylish. There have been numerous times where I preferred these boots over my tennis shoes for my everyday wear. From working in my wood shop to doing yard work or simply going out with my wife or going out for a walk, I have been able to count on these boots to provide a comfortable and secure fit each time. These boots have made me a fan of the KEEN brand and I will most definitely continue purchasing these boots in the future.
I'd like to start by saying that I only wear KEEN brand shoes. I've said such great things about the brand that my husband decided to give them a try. When they arrived and he tried them on, he immediately commented on how comfortable they were. We had very high hopes. Unfortunately, after just one week of work on the metal deck of a construction barge, the bottom of the boot came off. Because of how comfortable they were, he tried to Gorilla Glue the sole back on but that just didn't work. We ended up throwing them away and ordering a different pair of KEEN utility boots (Portland). So far the Portland seems more promising for his type of work environment. For a regular, around-the-yard work boot, we'd guess the San Jose would be great. But that type of sole isn't for heavy labor.
Great shoes, very comfortable
The toe box is where these shine obviously. Very wide so as your feet swell during the day 10-12 hours on your feet they really are comfortable. Liking the sole seems tough but has great cushion. Sometimes safety toes feel awkward with these you can’t even tell that you have them on.
I love this boots i use this every day and even when we go to the snow
