Stretch Fit Comfort: Lock Laces Black Boot Laces conform to your feet for better comfort and support as opposed to traditional round boot laces. Lock Laces Black Boot Laces also reduce pressure points throughout your foot, which means your feet will feel better when you're out hunting, hiking, or working.
One-size fits all
Lock Laces Black Boot Laces 7-strand fibers are .25cm in diameter, 72 inches in length and can stretch up to 108 inches. Their trim-to-fit design also allows them to fit boots that require 48 or 54 inch laces. We recommend installing the laces while the foot is inserted in the boot or shoe to allow for a more custom fit and secure feel.

We bought these laces for a relative that only has use of one hand. He is now able to "tie" his own boots without help from anyone else. They are heavy duty and last for a very long time. We only replace them when he gets new boots. We have not had them break or stretch out of shape. They are easy to lace up and attach the clips plus the spring release is easy to push open so he doesn't struggle with using only one hand. This product has given him a bit more indepence!!! Highly recommend!!!
Install it once, make some minor adjustments and never have to touch it or tie your boots again. Great product. Now I don’t have any issues with my hiking boots coming untied.
We bought these to replace laces on a pair of Merrell Snow Bank 4.0 boots. They work perfectly and the quality seems great! This will be our go-to product in future for lock lace replacements.
Working perfectly, no more loose laces the whole week
I frequently had to stop and re-tie my laces for my work boots. I gave this product a try and so far they work great, I just bought another set for my casual wear boots. After installing them, my boots stay tight all day.
I use these on hiking boots and walk 8 miles at a time in them several times a week. These work great once you get them set up. There is a sweet spot when the tension allows you to just slip the boots on and not adjust the laces, but they also keep to feet locked in. Once you have them set they are great. I ended up with a large blister from not getting that right, and if I hadn't been able to get them just so I think regular laces would serve better. These would be perfect for casual shoes that you want to be able to slip on, but that you don't do much in. I would never use them on running shoes. They are worth the effort if you can get them set up correctly.
These laces are nothing short of perfect! As a mechanic I’m on my feet all day and I usually wear slip on boots bc I hate having to tie my boots up throughout the day. I bought a new pair of boots and decided to try something different this time. I looked into elastic laces with the idea of getting a hybrid style boot one that slips on but also has good support around the collar. After looking for a little I found lace locks and I’m never going back to another type of lace. These are the absolute best laces I’ve ever used. Just when I thought things couldn’t get better the customer service from lace lock was phenomenal. I didn’t even have an issue with the laces…they just reached out to make sure I was satisfied which I was/am! If you’re looking for lace replacement that is perfect in every way just buy you pair of lace locks and you’ll never look back!
I purchased these laces to try something new for my ice skates (which lace like typical boots). I need significant tension through the laces, especially around the ankle to keep the heel seated, so I wanted a product that could hold tension as I progressively retighten my laces.Pro:- This is a simple concept and easy to use.- Nice solid black color.Con:- the laces will come with aglets that you must cut off to get the length you want, leaving the ends frayed which is why you need the clasp at the end of the laces. It didn’t feel very secure to me, and it was a bit hard to gauge how much of the laces were actually in the clasp before closing it. I found myself wondering how long it would take the laces to fray away out of the clutch of the clasp.- the “lace lock” is fairly good quality in terms of spring strength to hold the laces, but kind of missed the mark with me. The “lock” is so thin that the amount of pressure required to press open the slots to string the laces through often resulted in simply flipping the lock around in my fingers. Despite that, the lock would not hold the laces in place when I needed to tighten the laces VERY snugly.- In my case, there are hooks that line the height of tall boot after the ankle, so the lock made most sense placed over the base of the ankle, with free length of lace to wrap over hooks before securing the end clasp out of the way. This caused some concern because the button to open the lace lock (and loosen the laces if needed) is on top of the lace lock, so if you are using the lace lock to hold tension near your ankle, be wary the bending forward through the lower leg could potentially slacken the laces by pressing that button. It seems like this wouldn’t be a big concern if you‘ll be placing the lock at the top of the boot though.- the ultimate thing that made this a “no-go” for me was that no matter how I laced (I spent almost 2 hours trying different methods) I couldn’t get my heel to stay seated in the boot. I could feel my heel lift no matter what I did. In ice-skates this is a huge issue for stability, but in regular boots it might become a callous/friction issue.- the packaging is generally dark with a glossy and reflective surface, so its a bit hard to read and see finer details.Overall, I thought it was a decent product, and I would even consider trying it again if I ever needed laces such as these for typical boots. That said, I already found a similar “no tie, bungee” lace that I liked better in the Caterpy brand. It held tension perfectly through the ankle, but the problem I had with Caterpy has been that they don’t have boot length laces. I could only lace to the ankle so they didn’t work out. But supposedly they will be introducing a longer product soon, so I would likely try that before coming back to this brand again.
I bought these for a pair of boots, my laces were very mangled in certain areas and frankly I was tired of tying them once they came loose in the snow. On click and a couple of days later..Boom! I had these bad boys all laced in and configured and I've yet to change them, take them out, or re do them. I loved them somuch that I even bought a pair of regular shoe laces for my tennis Shoes. 10/10 would purchase again
My Salomon 4D boots are incredible. I’ve loved them for many years, but they have one fatal flaw. The laces are too long. I would have to do a giant double knot, or wrap them around once leaving just barely enough lace to get tied, but not secure, unless you had them so tight it cut off circulation. Lock laces solved both of these problems. They are so much faster to get on and take off as well. Magical upgrade. I haven’t really used them much yet throughout the day, so durability is something I will have to evaluate over time, but the clasp does appear to be pretty cheap flimsy plastic. I assume it will work fine unless it gets caught on something, in that case I think it’s popping off easily. I would like to see them include an extra clasp piece so you can pack it in your EDC or your bag if you’re a long distance or extreme hiker. It would also be cheap to just buy a second pack and keep with you. They are super affordable.
