  When was the last time you needed to replace a pair of shoelaces? Maybe never, but once you try Lace Kings, you’ll want to consider replacing them all. At the very least, keep them as a spare pair in your gym bag.My problem was laces that refused to stay laced. They had a figurative mind of their own.I know what you’re thinking: why would a shoe manufacturer sell shoes with laces that don’t stay laced?! Apparently some companies believe that a sturdy, water-resistant lace should be used on all their shoes to withstand the daily wear-and-tear of walking, running, hiking, and whatever a wearer will do while using them. These are good design principles. And, staying laced is to be expected. You know, goes without statement as part of the concept—shoe laces—laced while wearing. But is this requirement ever tested? In principle, a necessity should not require additional thought.However:Two brands I wear—Nike and Columbia—have this persistent un-lacing problem. Other brands—New Balance, Reebok and North Face do not.Finally fed up with this daily struggle of re-lacing shoes, I explored replacement options and discovered the Lace King brand.First thing you’ll notice are the nifty little screw-top, clear plastic tubes within which these laces are nestled. Secondly, you’ll see a variety of available colors and sizes to fit most shoes. Very nice!These laces smoothy and quickly fed through existing eyeholes without any challenge to my patience. In my case, I chose the basic black and basic brown colors and 45-inch length to fit existing 5-eyehole shoes. They fit perfectly.Lastly, the ACID test. I laced the shoes in the morning, as usual, and went on a walking expedition to downtown Chicago. And what do-you-know. No problems! Stayed laced all day long. Amazing, right? It’s what anyone should and must expect from a quality shoelace.In summary, these are sturdy laces produced in a variety of attractive colors and necessary sizes—that remain laced—all day long.

  My Nike Air Maxx 95s were all black and I wanted some color so I ordered these orange shoe laces, they are very strong and look great, happy with quality

  I made these Vans Sk8-Hi shoes into roller skates for my outdoor cruising set up and the flat laces that come with the shoes ripped pretty quickly. They also did not feel that secure for use on a skate. I usually use waxed skate laces on my other skates but my friend recommended getting round laces instead for Vans skates. I found these and they are so much better for a shoe!!I feel more secure in my skates now and the laces are the perfect length. Online it says Vans use 140cm laces so I got the 137cm since that was the closest. The length is fine but I don’t use the top eyelet. It might be a bit short if you do go up all the way.The laces feel durable and they came in a neat little tube. We shall see how long they last but they feel nice and durable. The fibers seem a little more compact and tight than other round laces I’ve had on shoes and I like that. This is a little more than I would have liked to have spent on plain laces but they seem like they’re good quality so I’m not that bothered. I’d definitely recommend them!

  These laces replaced the ones previously on my Timberland leather chukka shoes. They look great and are extremely comfortable and versatile. I really love the way they stretch because it makes my shoes much more comfortable to wear for long periods of time. Next time I might order one size down as they are just a *little* long, but it's hardly noticeable.

  I ordered the wrong size. I was just going to let it be. But they sent ma an email, asking if i was satisfied and I told them that I had ordered the wrong size. They replaced it at no charge. Will definitely order from here again. Good quality product and service.

  I gp thru cables like these alot dependable.. ugh.. well I burn thru em I go thru em like 3 to 6 cables a year.. the cable ends are fragile

  Good shoe laces, but a little too long for athletic shoes. They don't stay tied easily.
