I bought these for my son to go hiking. He said they we’re flexible, light on his feet and comfortable. He came back after 5 days of hiking trails up mountains and they were In perfect shape. So i can say, they are extremely durable! Water resistant and he said they have good grip going up the mountains. So they are well worth the money… oh and they look so nice as well.
These boots are very light and comfortable. They seem to be very well made (although it's too early to know how durable they will prove to be). The soles are very high quality, providing great grip on snow, ice, and wet concrete. In short, these boots are a superb value!
The first pair were the size I wear in Nike. TNF, and Timberland but were a size to small. Return was super easy and replacements fit great. They look nice and feel great. Super light for leather boots. Like tennis shoe weight.
I like these boots with two minor exceptions. They look good, have a sturdy sole, and were easy to break in. They fit well enough however as all shoes USA size 12 and above they are too wide for my narrower feet even with a sock liner and heavier winter socks. These woukd not be my choice as a summer hiking shoe. The laces tighten up the fit but the loops touch leaving no more adjustment. The laces are so long they would almost fit cut in half.
I bought these for a hiking vacation in Oct ‘22 and they became my daily shoes.I think that’s about as good of a review as I could possibly leave. They’ve held up very well, nothing is coming loose and I haven’t had to repair anything on them. The tread is worn a bit but still plenty left, and still rather grippy. When they were new I felt like they wouldn’t slip on anything even if I were to try.I am 40 and these were the first shoes - especially boots! - that I’ve ever put on that were immediately comfortable and required no breaking in.Can’t think of anything bad to say about them, other than my fear that one day when I need to buy another pair I won’t be able to find them any more.
Very comfortable with good fit and support. No break-in required.
These are my second pair of these boots; My first pair is still going strong after over a year. I need them for work on a warehouse floor all day and they give excellent support and comfort for my tired feet.
The media could not be loaded. These boots suit me well, they don’t hurt my feet after a long 10 or 12 hr shift, & they look good. I wear them to both my jobs, 1 at a warehouse & the other doing package deliveries. So they see a lot of use. I use a kiwi cleaning kit with the horsehair brush & polish to clean them up nice. I bought a second set of laces but then I realized you just need to double lace them to make them shorter. During the snowstorm Jan 2024 these again served me well I’ve added some pics to show.
I've been wearing the Timberland Mt. Maddsen boots for over 8 years, 6 days a week for work. They last a full year, plus some. I do a lot of kneeling and put stress on the shoe's seems. I do automotive repair and automotive detailing, all on concrete surfaces. They hold up very well, and my feet don't get wet! I've worn the tread off of the bottoms until they were smooth in spots, The seems were still holding up and they were still waterproof. So these shoes see oil, lots of water, snow, and sometimes mud. They are warm enough to wear outside, but still not to hot to wear in a shop environment in the summer. they have a tendency to hold mud in the tread and make a mess when you initially wear them once they've dried out. But that's with any boot. Great traction on wet/ oily concrete. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
I work in an ice rink so my feet can get cold and wet all the time however, these boots are great at keeping my feet warm and dry. They are also very comfortable and fit great as I have a wide foot.Would 100% recommend these boots to anyone. One month update: Not too happy about laces as they are already fraying and one of the tips just failed after one month of wearing 3-4 times a week.## Downgrade from Five stars to Four stars ##
